Description:
Chapuis REX side plated double rifle. Caliber 45-70 regulated to shoot a 405 gr. bullet about 1800 fps. 7 lbs. 9 oz. 23 1/2" ejector barrels. 14 1/2" length of pull with a small beavertail fore end. Sights have been converted to a XS peep and post. 3/4" area of thinning blue on right side of barrels where joing the breech. Bluing is worn at the muzzle. 3" spotting of blue on the left side of the barrels at the muzzle. Overall condition of rifle is 95% plus. This is a fast handling hard hitting hunting rifle that has taken game as large as a bison. Chapuis says the rifle was made in 1976 or 1977. They said it was very rare in this caliber and a non cataloged item. Included are dies and shell holder, 64 loaded rounds, 80 once fired cases, and 69 405 gr. Remington bullets
