Description:
Scarce British trainer rifle converted from a Mark I (S.M.L.E.) approximately in the early to mid 1910’s. Right hand butt socket is marked “LSA. Co LD 1901 L.E.I* ( with a line through L.E.I*) N” .Left hand butt socket is marked “N SHT 22 II”. Trainer has been arsenal refurbished after the conversion. Bolt and receiver are matching. Magazine is hollow. Upper hand guard wood and cocking piece are later replacements. Bore is excellent. An early British trainer rifle, hard to find.
