This thing should really be a blast at the range or on the farm. This is a MasterPiece Arms .45 Carbine which looks very much like a Mac-10 but is strictly semi-automatic. This little carbine uses 30-round M3 Grease Gun magazines which are available as old military surplus or new commercial manufacture. The action on this carbine is a blow-back design with very little recoil due to the carbine configuration. This MasterPiece Arms carbine features a factory parkerized finish on the receiver and top cover with a 16.5" inch blued barrel which has a muzzle break threaded-on, making the overall barrel length 19" inches. The stock set on this carbine consists of a polymer quad rail forearm with covers on the side-mounted pic rails, and a polymer skeletonized buttstock. The length of pull on this little .45 ACP caliber carbine is 15.5" inches from the trigger to the end of the buttstock. An aftermarket P&S Products vertical foregrip comes mounted on the forearm. The receiver on this carbine comes with an aluminum alloy pic rail pinned to the top cover that has a deep groove in the center that allows the use of the iron sights. The pic rail makes mounting a reflex or red dot sight extremely easy. We imagine that adding red dot optics to this handy carbine would really make shooting this thing accurately a breeze. This carbine is in excellent condition overall and apparently has been used VERY little. The original parkerized and blued finish looks great and really doesn't show any wear to speak of. The only deductions in condition on this carbine come from some minor surface rust on some of the small parts like the nut on the front of the forearm and the cocking knob. This minor surface rust was a result of this carbine being stored in a gun room with some humidity problems over the last few years. As you can see in the close-up pictures of those affected parts of the gun, it was very minor surface rust and does not detract much from the clean looks of this gun. The internals of this MasterPiece Arms carbine are spotless and show no mechanical wear. The bore in the 16.5" inch barrel is mirror-bright and clean. The rifling still looks new and there is no visible pitting or erosion. All of the controls are in perfect working order and the action is nice and strong. The bolt goes forward into battery with authority, and we have no doubt that this carbine would run flawlessy with a variety of .45 ACP loads. If you have been looking for a new "toy" for the range or plinking this carbine would be an excellent choice. Not ony would it be a blast to plink with but it could also serve as a formidable home defense weapon. This MasterPiece Arms .45 Carbine comes with one 30-round commercial magazine.
