This is a Baby Dragoon Colts Patent powder flask with the extremely rare adjustable spout, made in the late 1840s. You will find this same style flask cased with the Baby Dragoon. It is also cased with some of the later pre-Civil War era Colts due to it's exceptionally nice features. Ray Riling has included a picture of this style flask in his book. The seams are perfect. The gate and spout work smoothly, exactly as they should. This flask has turned a beautiful, light-brown and even patina overall. I have never seen a Baby Dragoon flask with the adjustable spout priced under $1000++. The eagle and crossed pistols on both sides are still extremly detailed.
