SUPERB MAUSER-OBERNDORF PRE-K98K BANNER/1934 8MM DEUTSCHES REICHSPOST RIFLE. Rare and 100% original with all nearly all the blue and stock finish. Perfect markings. Serial numbered in the “C34xx” range and all matching including the stock and bolt. Has all the correct proofs and inspection markings. Mint inspection circular cartouche on left side of the butt. Although the name “DEUTSCHES REICHPOST” indicated German National Postal System it was really a really a Mauser code name for rifles supplied to Nazi Party political para-militaryanizations such as the SS and the SA prior to the War. These rifles were beautifully finished and are quite scarce. Perfect working order and has a mint bore. With the original leather sling. Really nice example.
