A very, very early and scarce Browning Superposed Diana grade 12 gauge O/U shotgun. 1935 manufacture with serial number: 2748. 32” factory 5/16” wide “step” vent rib barrels that have been fitted with Briley thin wall choke tubes. It comes with a factory letter that indicates the gun was originally fitted with double single triggers which were replaced at some time with a factory single selective trigger. Further updating can be seen in the beautiful Browning stock and forearm. The stock has a 14 3/8” LOP, 1 3/8” DAC and 1 7/8” DAH. The gun weighs 7 lbs. 13 oz. The early Diana game scene engraving pattern on the frame has deer on the left side and wild boar on the right side with recognizable Browning scroll work on the other surfaces all refinished to Browning standards. Tight action, great mechanics and a gorgeous look all add to the fact that this is a early and rare Superposed.
