This is a new Turnbull Model 1886 chambered in .45-70 Gov’t., one example of our reproductions of the original Winchester Model 1886 designed by John Moses Browning. The big-bore lever action rifle features a 26″ full octagon barrel and full-length magazine, extra fancy American walnut stocks, “H” pattern checkering in 24lpi, and a crescent butt plate.
As with all Turnbull models, this Model 1886 sports period-correct finishes including: color case hardened receiver, lever, hammer, butt plate and forend cap; rust blued barrel and full-length magazine; charcoal blued small parts; hand-rubbed wood finish in classic Winchester red.
NOTE: this Turnbull Model 1886 has traveled to several shows and will show some very minor handling marks. Sold as-is.
