Description:
Factory Engraved Colt "Cloverleaf" House Model Revolver.
Manufactured in 1871 and featuring a fixed front sight, top strap groove rear sight, "+COLT'S HOUSE PISTOL/HARTFORD CT. U.S.A.+" on top of the barrel, the serial number stamped on the butt and barrel, scroll and border engraving on the frame, and smooth grips with the matching serial number handwritten on the backs.
Very good with traces of original blue in the protected areas, some cold blue touch-ups visible on barrel. 20% original niter blue on the hammer, strong original silver plating in the protected areas under the grips, lightly aged patina on most of the frame with numerous dents visible at barrel junction. Chip visible on the top of the left grip, mild handling and storage wear, some light scrape and dings, and crisp markings and engraving. Mechanically fine.
