Many gun lovers reading this ad regularly scour the internet for good deals on Fox shotguns. One thing for certain; the availability of top quality, graded 20ga. Fox shotguns has dwindled to nearly zero. Shooter/collectors have recognized the Fox 16ga. and 20ga. guns are the most well-balanced, best handling guns of all the vintage American doubles. It is also known that they have the simplest, most reliable actions as well. This Fox, sn203665 produced in 1934, is an awesome find. First, they only made about 2400 A Grade 20ga. Fox guns. Due to damage, loss, poor restorations, etc. there are only a few hundred genuine, honest, factory correct, high-condition Fox A Grade 20ga. guns left in the world, and the guys that own them are not likely to be selling them soon. Just look at the untouched condition of this gun! The barrel blue is 97%, the action has 60% factory case color, the trigger guard retains 95% factory charcoal blue, the engraving is crisp and clean, excellent screws, excellent wood and checkering, perfect wood-to-metal fit, an awesome find! This Fox has perfect mechanics, excellent bores, and is tight as new on breech face and hinge pin. THIS IS A “VFI CERTIFIED” GUN, meaning we stripped the forend iron and receiver to the smallest parts, ran it through the Ultrasonic cleaner, inspected all parts for integrity and function, then lubricated and reassembled (a $275 service). VFI CERTIFIED guns carry a 90-day mechanical warranty. This is a superb upland bird gun, weighing 5lbs. 13oz. and balanced perfectly on the hinge pin, you can carry her all day over tough terrain and not get “long arm syndrome”. It is hard enough to find a decent A Grade 20ga. nowadays, let alone one in totally unmolested condition. Don’t let this one escape you. It will be a long time until another Fox A Grade 20ga. this nice is offered for sale. It will continue to gain value as you enjoy its use, so it is a grand investment tool for your hard-earned funds.
