Manufactured in 1906 (2nd year of production) this is one of only 6,100 Model 1905's produced. It is the first Colt, and the very first pistol ever, manufactured in the .45 ACP cartridge!! This John Browning design was redesigned by him into arguably the most important pistol ever, the 1911. This pistol has been expertly restored to "new" condition. It must have been in good condition to start with as it was not polished excessively and all the stampings are legible and suirfaces are generally smooth. The bore and grips are also excllent.
