Beautiful 1886 50 caliber thumper made in 1889. All factory finish on the wood and metal with no signs of meddling-with or indiscretions having been performed. crisp, minty bore and rifling, similarly clean action interior. We here all agree this is a Winchester we could happily live-out our days with...But, factory letter in our possesion shows this left the warehouse an octagonal rifle in a different caliber. It would be outstanding if we could locate a factory work order indicating changes to its present form. Sure is a nice carbine though, and could easily become the high water mark in many collectors racks. Antique status.Call or email for more info.
