Description:
The tag that I got with the rifle is M70 Prototype Sporter SA New Bolt Lock. This is a one of a kind Model 70, the only stamping on the rifle is EXP 1. There is no other stamping. I beleive this to pre 64 because it has the one inch factory swivels used on 71, 64 Deluxe and on Super Grades. There a metal tag on the butt stock with W242 .The fancy wood stock looks like a Super Grade Featherweight except for the checkering pattern, why did Winchester put such a high grade stock on a prototype? I never shot the rifle was told it is a 308 when I got it. Take notice EXP 1 is stamp on left side of action.There is a Certificate of Provenance from FN America stating that they acquired the Winchester collection. I think there is plenty of pictures to see the features of this rifle. I will need a copy of your dealers FFL. I am not a dealer so please msake sure your dealer will accept a copy of my driver's license. Shipping to the lower 48 is $35.00
