Description:
Officially adopted by the United States as their military rifle in 1903, Springfield's design carried the U.S. through World War I and beyond. This M1903 was manufactured in 1921, and its barrel was updated in 1943; it also had a replacement stock upgraded to a Type C, with more of a pistol grip design. This model 1903 is in very good condition, with small marks across all metal surfaces, but retaining the original parkerized finish. The wood is also in very good condition, with a scattering of knicks and dents, with no deep marks in the stock. A great collector's piece for anyone who enjoys turn of the century militaria.
