Colt Government .45 ACP caliber pistol. Colt pre-war 1911 Government model. Manufactured in 1914. Very good plus bore with strong rifling. Action works perfectly. Gun has excellent carved steer head pearl grips, no chips, no cracks. Gun has approximately 90% blue with some missing from the slide from holster wear. This handsome pistol comes with what is probably the original holster marked “L.A. Sessums, Longview, Texas”. This outfit is typical of gun and holster worn by Texas Lawmen such as sheriffs and Texas Rangers. We purchased this pistol with the Texas holster but have no information on the original owner.
