Description:
SOLD PENDING FUNDS - For sale is a Model 102 High Standard Supermatic "Trophy". Manufactured from 1957 until 1960 this highly polished Presentation pistol is equipped with the eight inch tapered barrel with a muzzle brake. It is in the original factory High Gloss polish of the Trophy Line as opposed to the lesser polished Citation.  This has the detachable barrel weights and the muzzle brake stabilizer, the gold serrated trigger, gold safety button and gold inlaid lettering, as well as adjustable sights.   Barrel is fit with both a two ounce and a four ounce barrel weight. Other features include a detachable ten round magazine, and high gloss checkered grips with a right hand thumbrest and gold High Standard medallions. The Trophy gives superb accuracy-shot after shot!  All mechanical actions are crisp and the bore is in excellent condition. The walnut checkered stock features the positive traction inducing right handed thumb rest.  Please view the photos here for the purpose of evaluating the condition for yourself.

Manufactured between 1949 until 1957, the Supermatic was arguably the best target pistol of its time. Versions of this pistol could be used in ISU rapid-fire Olympic courses of fire (.22 Short caliber), as well as standard bullseye shooting. U.S. shooters won Olympic Rapid Fire gold medals in 1952 and 1960 using High Standard pistols, the only gold medals ever won in this event with an American made pistol. The Supermatic features various barrel lengths with integrally machined muzzle brake, removable barrel weight options, finely adjustable rear sight and a two-stage trigger that breaks like the proverbial glass rod at 2.5 pounds with zero over-travel due to an integral screw stop system.
