PRE WW2 GERMAN MAUSER 98 PRE K98K S/42K CODE 8MM RIFLE, CIRCA 1934. Serial number "488X" and all matching except cleaning rod. "Mod. 98" on receiver left side. Large "S/42K" on top with Weimar eagle stamp and other acceptance stamps. Barrel matches with Eagle/Swastika on left and "Geco" as well as "S/42K", "P74" proofs on right. Bore excellent with crisp rifling. All metal has been refinished but stock has not been touched. Wood stock(pre laminate) with a few period of use dings(character). "8" behind upper tang deeply struck and a "1" and "J"on pistol grip cap area. Professional refin of all matching rifle moderately priced for pre War rifle
