PRE WW2 GERMAN MAUSER PRE K98K 98 8MM S/42K CODE RIFLE, CIRCA 1934. Serial number "227X" and all matching with some parts renumbered at time of use by German armourers. Namely sight base(ramp matches), barrel bands and bolt handle only. Receiver with 'MOD. 98" on left side with large "S42K" on top and serial number next to Weimar eagle. This matches barrel number next Weimar eagle and "P74" proof. "P74" proofs also on right side of barrel and receiver. 90% original blue remains on receiver and barrel. Stock in original condition with a total of five Weimar eagle/221 acceptance stamps and period armourers strike out of original serial under matching serial number. Nothing abrasive has ever been taken to stock so all original battle condition and carry/use scratches which is cool to see and lends to it's honest use. Rare to see these early pre War pre-K98k rifles.
