PRE WW2 GERMAN MAUSER S/42G CODE 8MM MODEL 98 98K PRE K98K 8MM RIFLE, CIRCA 1935. Serial number "539X" and ALL matching on every part except rod. Stock slightly sanded so can make out crisply struck serial number on underside but nothing else(Buttplate matches number). Receiver and barrel(and all parts) still retain 90%+ original blue. Screws unturned. Muzzle protector works as it should(remnants of old black paint on it). Excellent bore and rifling. No sling but can see "3" stamped in sling well. Can't emphasize enough how almost every part and screw retain identical serial number. Prime rare example of early (2nd year) production of Pre K98k.
