Description:
This is a 26” octagon barrel Model 86 45-70 caliber rifle with serial number and 87912 and shipped 05-05-1894. It retains over 78% barrel and magazine blue and 75% case colors. The mechanical function is very good, crisp and tight; the bore is excellent, bright and shiny. The wood is very good but there is one 2” long 1/8” deep scratch on the right rear of the forearm. The rear wood is fine. This is a really nice 1886 45-70 rifle with a fantastic bore.
