Description:
This excellent condition, WWII rebuild of a SA Mk1 Model Of 1903 is guaranteed to be a genuine standard issue all GI rifle. The butt stock is an excellent, re-built condition, WW I manufacture Mk1 S type with the proper cutout for the Mk1 ejection port. It features cartouche and inspector markings appropriate for a Raritan Arsenal inspection/check and a late WWII Augusta Arsenal rebuild. The stock also exhibits sharp, well defined finger grooves and all markings are guaranteed to be original. The barrel is marked SA 10-42 and the bore is absolutely immaculate, showing no signs of use since being rebuilt. This rifle would make an excellent shooter and is a solid candidate for the CMP competiton enthusiast. The stock furniture, triggerguard and butt plate are all milled. The bolt body is marked R4 (SA-42 production) and the face of the bolt shows no evidence of wear or detectable use. The rifle appears to have been rebarreled and refurbished at the Augusta Arsenal sometime around the end of WWII, and subsequently placed into long term storage. The flat buckle webb sling is in excellent condition and is guaranteed to be original G I issue. This beautiful piece would make a superb addition to any WWII era military collection and, as previously mentioned, has the potential to be a competition grade shooter as well. There is a 3-day, non firing, no disassembly inspection period starting from the time of delivery to your FFL holder. All returns must be recieved in the exact same condition in which they were originally sent to the buyer. Buyer pays all shipping and FFL transfer fees. As with all vinatage firearms, this rifle should be checked by a competent gunsmith before being fired. There is no shooting warranty on any used gun sale. Shooter safety is the sole responsibility of the purchaser. Thanks for your interest. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. S&I are a flat $45.00 in the lower 48 states plus $35,00 FFL fee.
