Side by Side Hammerless Dual Trigger Top Break Combination Gun; Serial No. T1666; Circa 1902-1905; 12 Gauge Right Barrel and .500-.450 No. 2 Musket Left Barrel; Left Barrel Marked “Special Quality” with “1666” enclosed in a triangle and “FOR W.R. No 2 MUSKET” with a triangle and “BRAND CARTRIDGE”; Right Barrel Marked “Westley Richards & Co.”; Center Marked “550 A GRADE”; the Bottom of each barrel is Marked “10044”; Gun retains some of the Original Blue & Case Colors; the Rifle Bore is gray with well-defined rifling and very light erosion; Shotgun Bore is semi-bright with light erosion and minor pitting; Correct Function and Good lockup with no play; the stock has been repaired; Westley Richards has more than two centuries of experience building firearms, a tradition that continues today; Based on the gun’s serial no., it was produced specifically for export, likely for a Safari, allowing for Big Game to be taken while also taking fowl;
