If you have never owned a Colt Python, you should! They are a truly remarkable work of art and this one is a near mint, original example. I purchased this fine handgun from the it's original owner and have never fired it. It may have had a box of shells ran through it? If you have been looking for "THE" Python, you have found it. I couldn't imagine anyone being disappointed in this revolver. I tried hard to get nice photos, but the bluing on these revolvers is so lustrous, finely polished and deep blued that a novice photographer certainly has his work cut out for him. I couldn't find any discrepancies in the metal components and just a couple of minor indents in the bottom of the original grips, not breaking through the clear coat finish. Made in September of 1980, the trigger pull in both single and double action on this particular pistol are simply amazing! SUPER SMOOTH! The best I personally have ever felt. The original box, foam liners, hang tag, welcome letter from Colt and all other documentation from the factory are present. I believe a person would be hard pressed to find a better example. Hate to let this one go, but it's time for a new caretaker to enjoy.
