Per Talo Distributor's : The Ray Armand Jr. Edition Colt One of 300, a TALO Distributor’s 50th Anniversary 1911. Mr Armand is a second generation hand engraver. He’s a master member of the Firearms Engraver Guild of America and the 2016 winner of the FEGA Best Engraved Handgun. Ray adapted the engraving design from his winning entry to our Colt 1911. The 50th Anniversary Colt is a Royal Blue Full Sized Government Model, Series 70 in .45 ACP. Ray Armand’s eleborate variation on black leaf scroll work design is precisely reproduced in a deep etch covering the full slide. The intricate design continues over the top of the slide. Scroll elements of the design appear on the polished frame. The controlls are polished and royal blue finished. The grips are fancy dark walnut continuing the engraving design with a Colt logo. Grip screws are blue hex. Special serial numbers RFC001-RFC300. TALO Distributors, a group of independant wholesalers was started in 1965. Over the last 20 years TALO has become known for their collection of limited edition firearms. This 2017 Colt is in unfired "as New" condition and comes with (2) 8-round magazines, original box, original numbered to the gun sleeve, and all paper-work, including hang tag.
