Scarce Pre-Ban Fabrique Nationale Herstal commercial FN FAL chambered in .308 Win./7.62 NATO. This model 50.41 ( Heavy Barrel Light Automatic Rifle Competition) was produced from 1959 until 1988, and features a bipod, flash hider, 21" heavy barrel, synthetic buttstock, short wood forend, and aperture rear sight adjustable from 100-600 meters. This type III rifle was imported by Steyr Arms, Secaucus New Jersey. During the 1970's and 1980's FN FAL's were imported by Steyr and these rifles are very desirable and seldom seen.
