Webley & Scott --- No.4 Pryse Pattern Revolver --- .476 Eley Centerfire. 5 5/8" octangular barrel with integral rib, blade front sight and fixed rear sight, retailer engraved: W. GRIFFITHS, MANCHESTER. Double-action with rebounding hammer. Hinged frame top-break with "Sugar-tong" opening levers. Fluted, six-shot cylinder. Spring-return extractor. Tapered lever-pivot supports. Webley's winged bullet trademark on left side of frame. Nickel. Checkered walnut grips with lanyard-loop buttcap. Mfd ca 1884. Engraved with original owner's name KENNETH GIRDWOOD on both sides of frame and with his crest behind the hammer. Retaining 95%+ original nickel finish and with an excellent bore. In oak presentation case with crystal oiler, turnscrew, cleaning rod, Griffiths' trade label and owners brass escutcheon on lid.
