Description:
L.C. Smith 16 gauge Crown Grade, circa 1914. Solid rib with double bead sights. 2-3/4 chambers, choked at Full/IM, and comes with ejectors. "L.C. Smith Crown Grade" is stamped on the top of the right barrel. Both barrels have a wedge of scroll engraving at the breech and the barrel flats are jeweled. The rear of the solid matte rib has a gold inlaid band and the barrels lug has floral engraving. The side plates are engraved with scroll and floral patterns accented by ovals containing a hunting dog scene. The tang mounted safety has a gold inlaid S and the gun has a single trigger. The break lever is engraved and has a gold crown while the engraved trigger guard has the name "ALBERT L. JOHNSON" on the trigger bow. The forend is a beavertail and features beautiful checkering and engraved metal accents. The walnut stock is pistol grip and has an added Pachmayr pad.
