*** SOLD *** T.H. Thursby & Son was located on Sheep Street in Northampton and this is one high quality little 20 bore bird gun. Great engraving, excellent bluing, 28” barrels and superb handling characteristics. It is just loaded with features found on high quality doubles: articulated front trigger, 28” barrels, Best hand floral & scroll engraving, cross bolt for strength, disc set strikers, elaborate gold inlaid family crest on trigger guard, hand cross hatched rib, and auto ejectors. Weighs 6lb 5oz. Has a bolster on the frame and manual safety. *** The 28” barrels have excellent bluing and are topped by a raised solid hand cross-hatched rib. Chambers lengthened for 2-3/4” shotshells. The right barrel is inscribed “T.H. Thursby & Son”. The left barrel is inscribed “Sheep Street . Northampton”. The right barrel is bored 0.616 with a constriction of 0.008 for Improved Cylinder choke. Minimum wall thickness is 0.036. The left barrel is bored 0.615 and has a constriction of 0.014 for Modified choke. Minimum wall thickness is 0.037. *** The straight grip stock and splinter forearm are made of nicely figured European walnut. Checkering is in good condition. There are a few minor handling marks from normal usage. The stock dimensions are 14-5/8” including a 1” Silvers pad by 1-1/2” by 2”. Cast off for the right handed shooter. *** This is a great little gun for the avid quail, grouse and woodcock shooter. Easy to carry and handles responsively. Recently stripped, cleaned and inspected by a gunsmith. Tight on face. Hunting season is just around the corner. Don’t let this great little 20 get away. *** I am an FFL and will need a signed copy of your dealer’s license. Buyer is responsible for all shipping, insurance, and any other related charges.
