VERY RARE AND HARD TO GET IN THIS CONDITION-NORTH VIETNAMESE “STAR 1” MARKED-ALL MATCHING NUMBERS Very good condition Chinese Type 56 SKS semi auto rifle in 7.62 x 39 caliber that has Arsenal 26 markings on the left side of the receiver. The first two digits of the serial number, “11”, indicating manufacture in 1967. This interesting rifle is marked “star 1” on the right side of the receiver, bolt, bolt housing, magazine, bayonet muzzle ring, and the left side buttstock. This marking is considered to be a North Vietnamese arsenal or acceptance marking. Rifle is NOT import marked and is very likely a Vietnam vet bringback. Gun has all matching serial numbers including receiver, bolt, bolt housing, stock, triggerguard, and magazine. Metal finish is original blue showing a little normal wear. Bore is bright and excellent with strong rifling. Stock has original finish and shows some normal handling marks. Left side buttstock has a sharp clear matching serial number cartouche. Folding bayonet functions fine. Complete with correct original cleaning rod. An interesting Vietnam War SKS that will make a fine addition to a collection. Ships from my FFL to yours.
