Description:
Remington Arms designers wanted a rifle with a stock made from something other than wood. They teamed with DuPont to come up with a material that was light, strong and easily moldable to any shape.Thus, the Dupont Zytel Nylon material was developed which Remington used to build the Nylon series of rifles.They were produced from 1959 through 1989 with 221,000 units produced. These little rifles have become quite collectable in recent years with some models fetching prices in the thousands of dollars.
