Harrington & Richards produced this Little Big Horn Commemorative to honor the 268 that died in the battle of the Little Big Horn in Montana in 1876. These are an American made replica of the Springfield Armory Model 1873 Trapdoor Carbine. This rifle features a 22” blued, round barrel with sporting front sight, no rear sight was installed and an officer's model type tang sight at wrist. The frame block side plate, hammer, release, trigger guard and butt plate are case colored and are engraved. The side of the loading block is stamped "Little Big Horn". Add on case colored metal grip cap. Bottom of stock is stamped "P". Excellent condition in the original Styrofoam box complete with operating instructions and a hardcover copy of Robert C. Cain’s In the Valley of the Little Big Horn.
