The .257 Weatherby caliber was Roy Weatherby’s favorite because of its incredible versatility..great Whitetail/Mule deer cartridge, great sheep cartridge, great antelope cartridge, etc. In other words the .257 Weatherby is good for almost everything in North America and plains game in Africa. The rifle with scope weighs 7 lbs. 14 oz.
