Description:
Up for your consideration is an excellent example of an antique Parker shotgun. This 12ga DH grade lifter was maufactured in 1876 and is great condition goven its age and the common use of Parker guns for hunting at the time. This shotgun features good case colors and all matching numbers. The barrels, fore end, water table, and even fore end lock all bear the same serial number. Wood condition is excellent with no cracks or dings, and great checkering given the many years of use this shotgun most likely saw. Same with the fore end, great color and checkering as well as light engraving on small metal components. This gun features small engraving on the tang, base of the receiver, side plates, and even on the screws. Case coloring is good with a lot of fading but is UNTOUCHED a rare find to see a Parker of this age with its original finish. The Damascus on the barrels is faded but there are still spots on the barrels where the damascus is visible and beautiful. The original Dog head buttplate is in excellent condition with no cracks and no signs of fading or damage. Bores are good with only some minor pitting near the chamber but nothing that would affect the performance of the gun. The 26in barrels were an original order for this gun and have NOT BEEN CUT. This gun is in wonderful condition and more importantly all original, with all mechanical aspects working perfectly.
