This is the second of two very nice all-original and clean Smith & Wesson Model 10-7 Military and Police revolvers we have acquired. The other was listed earlier today. Chambered in .38 Special, these Military and Police Models are considered one of the "classic" S&W models. This particular Model 10-7 has a 4" inch barrel and is serial number AHT7949, making it's date of manufacture sometime in the 1980's. It is interesting in that under the ejector rod it is import marked from Century, indicating it spent some time overseas somewhere. The original gloss blue finish is bright and attractive, with only some very minor finish wear visible in places. The worst of these places is at either side of the muzzle from holster carry, and a drag-line around the cylinder. As you can see from the pictures, the gun has a nice lightly-used look to it. The 4" inch barrel bore and cylinder bores are excellent, bright and clean with no pitting, erosion, or visible imperfections whatsoever. The original factory grips are in great shape, free from any cracks, chips, or repairs, and only show some minor dings/handling marks. The S&W medallions both look good and the grip panels are nice and tight to the gun. The action on this Military and Police Model is smooth and precise, perfectly "in time" whether worked in single or double action. This S&W has obviously not been fired much and has been well cared-for. This Model 10-7 would make an excellent shooter and home defense gun, as well as a great addition to any gun collection.
