Co./1902/LE/I*" marked receiver, with “N" naval mark on the left side of the wrist collar, and a matching numbered, “C / N / I (or 1)" marked barrel. The metal retains about 75-80% of the original blue that has silvered and faded along the exposed edges and radii, and begun to turn a mild plum-brown on the balance. The bolt is numbered to the gun, with a commensurate amount of blue remaining. The volley sights and magazine cut-off are still in place. The walnut stock has numerous small-moderate handling marks and blemishes scattered about the thick, added military oil finish, but circular cartouche is still visible on the right side of the buttstock (no longer legible). The buttplate tang has a rack / issue number: “R1057". The rifle comes with a non-chained magazine, and is a neat rife that saw Royal Navy service. It is in fine condition overall.
