(38/40) Cal. with 5 ½” Barrel; Perfect Action and Very Strong Bore; Shipped as a blue revolver to Moseley Sporting Goods Co. of Dallas, Texas in 1906; Revolver is now Nickel Plated with Pearl Grips and Gold Inlays; Pant or Belt Clip added; 2 Inlays have initials “R.T.S.” (Rufus Tayler Sterling) and Round Medallion “1885”, significance unknown; Revolver belonged to Rufus Tayler Sterling, Born Feb. 26, 1879 – Died in V.A. Hospital in Kerrville, TX Apr. 14, 1958; Buried in Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery, San Antonio, TX; Interesting Texan who was a Gun Smith in San Angelo, TX and an Engineer in San Antonio; Photos, Documents, Factory Letter Included;
