Another fine “ESTATE” firearm offered by Dust 2 Dollars. We offer you a “MINT” and new - unfired #37 of 500 Colt 1991A1 West Point WWII Tribute 45 ACP Pistol. 15 years ago these were offered being a limited edition of 500. This Colt 1911 West Point World War II Tribute is a fully functional work of art. The slide itself is polished to a near-mirror finish and decorated with 24-karat gold. Emblazoned with nickel and gold with a blackened patina accent on the left side of the slide is a central vignette of P-51 Mustang fighter planes and the legend " World War II Tribute'. At the front of the slide you will find B-17 bombers, the mighty "Flying Fortress" of World War II. To the right is a portrait of General Henry H. "Hap" Arnold. At the top of the slide, in gold on black is a representation of the Stars and Stripes with the legend "West Point Tribute". Ahead of the rear sight in brushed nickel, gold and black is the official seal of the Association of Graduates of the United States Military Academy. On both sides of the slide, in 24 karat gold and black the distinctive United States Military Academy crest is featured. Beneath the recoil spring plug at the lower front of the slide, is where each pistol's individual issue number in gold. Only 500 of these pistols were ever issued. This pistol is number 37 of those 500. The pistol has the factory “blue” Colt box with the accessories as shown along with the optional glass top display case. $1,699 shipped to your FFL dealer at cost to be determined by buyer's location.
