Description:

This high original condition Sauer combination gun in .30-06 caliber under 16 gauge was manufactured in Germany in 1963 for the American market.  It is an exceptional stalking rifle for deer, elk, or other large game.  It comes to the shoulder nicely, and the open sight allows the hunter to find quickly an unobstructed line to get the bullet to the game even in dense hardwood forest or dark timber.  As a break-down weapon, it packs well when hiking high into the mountains or deep into the forest to begin the hunt.  In States where the deer season and turkey season overlap, the 16-gauge shotgun and .30-06 rifle combination provides the position-hunter the right weapon to take whichever species happens to come by his or her ground blind or tree stand.

The length of the barrels is 65 cm (25-1/2”) and the length of pull to the front trigger is 14-1/2 inches.  The gun weighs 6 pounds 10 ounces.  The shotgun barrel has a 2-3/4-inch chamber and is choked .020 (IM).  The rifle trigger, which is adjustable, is set at 4-1/2 pounds of pull; the shotgun trigger pulls at 7 pounds.  The gun locks up tight and all serial numbers, 11427, match.

The list price does not include shipping cost, which is paid by the buyer.  The inspection period is 7 days from receipt by buyer.  The gun carries a 30-day warranty, during which Doublegun Preservation will have any problems documented by a professional gunsmith repaired or accept the return of the gun and refund the price of the gun plus original and return shipping costs.  Please do not hesitate to call Steve with questions at 703-625-4830.
