Description:
Full custom Oberndorf Commercial Mauser in 7x57 by ACGG member Gene Simillion of Gunnison, CO. Built on a 1914 Oberndorf Commercial Mauser sporting action with custom 24" barrel with an excellent bore. Custom Rigby style barrel features an integral island front sight and banded sling eye. Three leaf express rear sight with one standing and two folding, all with gold inlayed center lines. Commercial Oberndorf Mauser action remains all original with lever release floorplate. Stocked in Rigby style with fairly straight grained English Walnut. Nice color and contrast. LOP is 15" Case colored steel pistol grip cap and striated steel buttplate with nitre blued engraved screws. 28 LPI point pattern checkering with mullered border. 7lb 8oz This very well done piece remains as new from Mr. Simillion's work bench.
