Mfgr. *THIS IS AN UNTOUCHED WWII ‘’VET’’ BRING BACK!!  **U.S.  EARLY 1944 / MID-WWII M1 CARBINE, MFG. ‘’INLAND DIV.’’ SN 5,033,--- BARREL ‘’INLAND DIV.3-44’’, *W/EARLY FEATURES!  *ALL MATCHING & ORIGINAL THRU-OUT! *OUTSTANDING! *W/EARLY ’’FLIP’’REAR SIGHT & FLAT ‘’BLUED’’ BOLT, ETC.  *COMES COMPLETE * W/ALL ITS MATCHING/ORIGINAL ACCESSORIES (See Below)! *W/A BEAUTIFUL MINT BORE Stock #IND/5033, Cal..30 Carbine. *NOTE: This un-touched original WWII ‘’Vet’’ Bring Back is a most superb and Historical example of the Early 1944 WWII Inland Div. M1 Carbine that is not only All Matching and 100% Inland Div. Factory Original thru-out but also very outstanding thru-out! With its March 1944 manufacture it Pre dates the  Normandy/D-Day Invasion by several months. This is the exact period M1 Carbine that would have been in actual Service in Europe, Italy and the Pacific from the March/April, 1944 date on through the End of WWII. This particular example is WWII History at its very best and indeed one that remarkably has remained all these 75+ years in its Factory ‘’virgin’’ untouched condition exactly as the WWII ‘’Vet’’ brought it back home with him! As such it is indeed quite a most Historical ‘’survivor’’! Its remarkable originality is easily seen  as the Carbine remains unquestionably 100% Inland Factory 1944 ALL MATCHING and Original thru-out! Also, to top all of this off is the fact that it is one that has been superbly cared for, no doubt seeing no or little actual field use! This example with its ‘’5,033,---‘’ serial number is in the Inland Div. 3rd assigned serial number range that went from 4979526 to 5549820 and with its Barrel date of ‘’3-44’’ (*Note/FYI: This is Inlands ‘’transition’’ period of manufacture (See example SN 5,267,--- below , same ‘’3-44’’ barrel date but with different features). This is a most outstanding example of the earlier ‘’transition’’ period of Inland manufacture and as such still has the following Earlier-War features: ‘early ‘flip’ rear sight that is correctly marked (*See Below), Early ‘AI’ marked flat blued bolt, push safety and etc. It also correctly has the Mid-War Inland 2nd type operating slide, wide barrel band with out bayonet lug, ‘’low wood’’ stock and mid-War internals, Inland magazine catch with the ‘’M’’ on the right side and etc. What a truly outstanding piece of actual WWII History this is and being now 74 years old it is amazingly quite rare to have remained in this simply magnificent un-touched condition thru-out  all these many years! Also it will come TOTALLY complete with all the below listed Accessories. (*See Below) *Book Reference: Please refer to the fine book: ‘’War Baby’’ by Larry Ruth and the Chapter on Inland Div. pages 339 to 363. All as referenced below. Also Bruce N. Canfield has some fine books on M1 Carbines. *Matching/Originality/*Finish & %: As stated this is indeed an ALL FACTORY MATCHING and ORIGINAL example thru out with each and every part Inland Div. marked/coded and no up-grades, never Re-Arsenaled, up-graded or rebuilt! Everything even the pins and butt plate and its screw remain absolutely 100% Inland Div. March, 1944 un-touched/original thru out! The original March 1944 Inland Div. Factory metal finish remains today 74 years after its manufacture totally untouched never touched up, messed with, cleaned  or refinished and simply magnificent with the exposed metal finish other than of course ever so minor action cycling and a very small rub mark on the barrel rates at appx 98% overall including the front sight with only a bit of the just starting usual ever so minor wear from the tight fitting barrel band being slid forward that this variation seems  to always show. Also there is NONE of the usual thinning these early variations usually have from typically being handled by the barrel (this was very common on the no Bayonet Lug Carbines) but not this example! Even the early original 2nd type Wide Barrel Band (with out lug) and trigger housing rate easily at 98%+ to 99%! The parts break down as follows: The receiver itself is that unmistakable Inland Div. ‘’Dark Gray/Green’’ color and basically other than just a bit of ever so minor cycling wear from the operating slide/bolt cycling rates appx. 98%! The original ‘flip’ rear sight is un-questionably Inland 1944 Factory un-touched and other than expected minor very top edge wear rates easily 98% or better! *FYI: Also as with a few of the other exact same period Inland Div. un-questionable 100% Factory original and All Matching M1 Carbines we have had is the fact that the *’’N-A’’ marked/coded flip rear sight is indeed absolutely 100% Inland Div. Factory original and as documented in Larry Ruth’s fine book ‘’WAR BABY’’ at the end of the Inland Div. Section under Integrated Parts (parts supplied to Inland Div. from other manufacturers) which clearly shows 3 shipments of the Flip Rear Sights from National Postal Meter of 15,000 on 3-2-1944, another 5000 on 3-11-1944 and another 5000 on 3-18-1944! This clearly shows and documents its un-questionable originality coinciding exactly to this Carbines manufacture period. Again without question original! It also has the *early flat ‘’blued’’ bolt with its exposed center rating mint/99% with basically the only cycling wear at the round ends simply from rubbing metal to metal inside the receiver when cycled. The exposed operating slide rates the same appx. 98%+ or better with its wear basically only at the very end of its handle. The trigger housing also rates at 98%+ to 99%! It has the *early push safety, *early 2 rivet hand guard, *earlier/correct ‘’M’’ marked on right side Inland coded magazine catch! and etc. It has the following mid-war features *2nd type wide barrel band with out bayonet lug, *Factory ‘’low wood’’ stock (in Inlands high to low stock transition period), and etc.! All are easily seen to be with out any question 100% Factory original, never messed with and never any other barrel band on the barrel and of course the front sight untouched. Stressing again, as with all else this most Historic WWII early 1944 M1 Carbines Factory original barrel band. The front sight is easily seen to indeed be absolutely un-touched after its Inland Factory assembly in March, 1944 and again all parts including all internals are totally ALL MATCHING Inland Div. marked/coded thru out and retain their untouched ORIGINAL Mid-1944 Inland Factory finish plus right down to each and every pin, screw, etc. ALL 100% original Inland Factory parts and never even a pin ever changed! Overall un-equaled un-touched 100% Factory original metal finish with absolutely NO cleaning, touch-up or messing with! As noted in all the above this Carbines ever so minor wear attests to the easily seen little actual use the Carbine has had all its life.! *Proofs/ Markings: All are absolutely 100% Factory perfect thru out, exactly as struck in 1944 with the receiver rear marked ‘’INLAND DIV. over 5033---‘’ and top front barrel marked ‘’INLAND DIV. over GENERAL MOTORS over 3-44’’ and ‘’P’’ Proofed! None finer! *Bore: The BORE with only a patch ran through it rates ABSOULTY BEAUTIFUL, BRIGHT SHINY and MINT! *Action/Mechanically: This too remains absolutely perfect and even has a very tight ‘’AS NEW’’ fit in the receiver/trigger housing area where most Carbines seem to fit very loosely and rattle! *Wood set: As with all the above the 100% original early 1944 Factory ‘’Low Wood’’ Inland Div. stock (this is again Inlands ‘’Transition’’ period and by now using this variation stock thru out balance of all production) and still has the earlier 2 rivet hand guard. All remains untouched in all these 74 years and never being cleaned or messed with simply showing only ever so minor expected storage and handling and a few stained places rates Excellent/Minty and both are Inland Div. coded with the stock ‘IO’’ coded and hand guard ‘HI’ coded (this is 100% correct at this manufacture period) and both stock and the ‘’2’’ rivet hand guard match as perfect as any 2 pieces can possibly can in all respects easily told unquestionably original to each other! The stock is as mentioned the original early Inland Div. ‘’Low’’ wood variation and has the original Inland Div. (Large) ‘’ORDNANCE WHEEL CROSSED CANNONS’’ Cartouche (a full strike) on the right rear butt stock that is absolutely untouched as the day in March 1944 when it was stamped being deep, sharp and crisp! The stock and hand guard fit perfectly in all respects with tight ‘’AS NEW’’ fit and none of the usual looseness and rattle most Carbines seem to have! Even the original Inland Div. butt plate is outstanding rating appx 95% with perfect screw and Mint slot! *Accessories: The most outstanding and Historic ‘3/44’ Inland Div. M1 Carbine will come TOTALLY COMPLETE with ALL ’As Issued’ Matching Inland Coded &/or ‘’1944’’ Dated Accessories: To include *original Inland Div. ‘’IA’’ marked blued 15 round magazine, *original WWII ‘horse shoe end’ Khaki/ODsling maker marked and dated ‘S.M.CO. 1944’ (same as Carbine), *Inland ‘IS’ marked oiler! *Note: That ALL are Inland coded &/or ‘’1944’’ Dated the exact same as this Inland M1 Carbine! *History/Use: Being manufactured March, 1944 this is the variation of WWII M1 Carbine that would have been in Service BEFORE the Normandy ‘’D-Day’’ landings and would have served thru-out the balance of the War in both the European, Italian and Pacific theaters. What a most fantastic piece of WWII History this absolutely untouched early 1944-WWII ‘’Vet’’ carried/bring back March 1944 Inland Div. Carbine is and again this is the variation that would have served in virtually all the European battles right before the D-Day/Normandy Invasion, all battles through France, Belgium, Battle of the Bulge, Germany, the Italian and Campaigns and it is also the variation also carried in all the Pacific Battles from early-1944 on through Iwo Jima and helped end the entire long War!
