HANDSOME Maple Stocked Antique LONG RIFLE
With Interesting Inscription
Here we present an antique Half-Stock Long Rifle Marked “Bob Robbins”, made circa the mid-19th Century. This is a very attractive rifle with a great maple stock and attractive patch box. The patch box has been inscribed “Bob Robbins/Cal. .336”. The bore is indeed about .34 caliber rounded up. This rifle would have made a great hunting rifle in the 19th Century and it has every appearance that it has been shot recently.
The overall condition is very good. The metal surfaces are bright. The markings are clear. The maple stock is smooth and solid. The bore is clean with sharp rifling. The action is excellent.
