DESCRIPTION: Winchester Model 64 rifle, caliber 32 WS aka 32 Winchester Special, serial # 2,042,xxx made in 1954 so pre-64, with standard 24" round barrel, 2/3 magazine, plain pistol grip, shotgun butt with checkered steel butt plate having the widow's peak top point, ramped front sight missing the hood.
CONDITION: Receiver retains 60% original deep blue with the typical loss due to carry wear. Hammer and lever about 65% original blue. Barrel and mag tube 70% original blue with scattered finish loss due to handling and carry. Stocks are sound with no splits or cracks, never sanded or refinished, showing typical light dings and scratches from hunting and shooting. Action is tight. Half cock safety functions as it should and hammer spring is strong. Bore is excellent, bright and shiny, sharp rifling, no pitting or frost, a 9 of 10. Has not been test fired so have a competent gunsmith check it over before shooting.
