P17 Rifle Stock WWI Or WWII Enfield US M1917 30’06 WINCHESTER Well marked with a "W" on the front tip of the stock. The eagle head cartouche is on the underside of the fore arm a few inches in front of the trigger guard. My guess is the stock has been waxed. No signs of it being sanded or refinished. No breaks, repairs or splits. The only defect I can find is at the top of the butt where the butt plate tang would fit there is some deterioration of the wood. I believe most of the loss would be under the metal. I do not have a butt plate to show how it would look. The rest of the stock has a few small dings & scratches.
