ANTIQUE FLINTLOCK 1836 CONTRACT .54 CALIBER MARTIAL PISTOL BY ASA WATERS, MILBURY, MA, LOCKPLATE DATED 1837. 8 1/2" BARREL, VERY GOOD BORE WITH LIGHT OXIDATION AND MINIMAL LIGHT PITTING. METAL SURFACES TONED TO A SMOOTH GRAY-BROWN, SOME MINOR OXIDATION AND EXPECTED PEPPERING AROUND BREECH & TOUCH HOLE. SMALL "L" INSPECTORS MARK ON TRIGGERGUARD & SIDEPLATE. WALNUT STOCK IN VERY GOOD CONDITION WITH ADDED VARNISH AND HANDLING MARKS EXPECTED OF AN ISSUED ARM. LOCK WORKS EXCELLENT CRISP & ROBUST WITH 2 CLICK HAMMER.
