This is a beautiful all-original Ruger Mark II Target .22 caliber pistol made in 1986. The Mark II line of Ruger pistols was first introduced in 1982 and was produced in multiple variations and barrel lengths until being discontinued in 2004. It quickly earned a reputation for being a tough, reliable, and accurate pistol that was perfect for plinking, hunting, or target shooting. This example is a Target Model and was specifically designed for shooters wanting a heavy barreled rimfire target pistol with adjustable sights. It features a 5.5" inch heavy "bull" barrel for aiding in keeping a steady hand. The blue finish is still beautiful and rates 98% with only some very light handling marks visible if examined closely. The bore is minty and bright with no pitting, erosion, or imperfections of any kind. The rifling still looks new with sharp lands and grooves. The target-style adjustable sights are in excellent condition and all of the adjustments work perfectly on the rear sight. The original checkered black plastic factory grips are also in excellent condition with no cracks, repairs, or visible wear showing. This Mark II Target comes with one original 10-round factory magazine. Everything works on this pistol 100% like the day it left the factory. The action is smooth and goes into battery perfectly, and the trigger is quite good with no grit and a clean break. This Mark II Target has an extremely low round count thru it and has obviously spent most of it's life in storage. If you have been looking for a great .22 semi-auto target pistol for plinking or friendly competition, many shooters swear that these Mark II Targets are the most accurate rimfire pistol that Ruger has ever made. It would be an excellent addition to any collection. Sorry, no box or manual.
