Description:
This is a very cool Italian-made Armi Jager Frontier Buntline Model single-action revolver in .45 Long Colt with a factory detachable stock. These were relatively low production guns and are seldom on the market. This particular example is in very good condition overall and is in excellent mechanical condition. The original high-gloss blue factory finish on the barrel and cylinder is beautiful, showing only some small imperfections from handling/storage. The factory case colored frame still shows beautiful bright colors and only a few tiny spots of wear. The brass triggerguard and grip frame is in great shape, and the original smooth Walnut grips are in good condition. The only deduction from the grips is some marring caused by contact with the stock when attaching/removing it. The factory stock is in great shape, with the original black painted finish still intact and showing only light handling and storage marks. The bore in this Frontier Buntline Model is excellent with nice strong rifling and no pitting. The cylinder bores are equally as clean as the barrel and completely free from any imperfections. This single-action revolver is in perfect working order just like the day it left the factory. All of the controls including the adjustable rear sight and hammer-mounted safety are in excellent condition and functioning. The action is perfectly "in time" and precise whether worked fast or slow, and the cylinder locks up tight with no slop. The trigger is superb, breaking with a light pull with no grit or excessive travel. The stock is also in perfect working order. It locks onto the gun securely without any wiggle or play and turns this revolver into a solid carbine-like weapon. This Armi Jager Frontier Buntline .45 would be an excellent addition to any gun collection and would be a blast to shoot at the range or farm.
