Polish Vis 35 9mm semi automatic service pistol, also known as the P.35, manufactured sometime between 1939 and 1941. These pistols were used as the Polish service sidearm following WWI, and when Germany defeated Poland during WWII, the Germans captured the factories and began manufacturing the Vis 35 under its new designation, the P.35, with "e77" waffenamt markings. This pistol is the "Type II" or "Grade 2" varitation, meaning it has 3 levers, the slide lock, disassembly slide lock, and a hammer drop lever on the slide. The Type II pistol did not have a stock slot cut into the grip. The grip panels are hard brown plastic with "VIS" on one side, and "FB" on the other. The pistol is in excellent working order with a smooth action and all functional mechanisms. The pistol has been reblued at some point, and some of the markings were scooped out during the polishing process before bluing. Please refer to the photos to further assess the condition of the pistol. The Vis 35/P.35 was known for its excellent build quality and reliability, and this pistol would make agreat addition to your WWII small arms collection, and would be a very fun shooter!
