Description:
Winchester model 53 takedown in 44-40.Built in 1925,this is one of the hardest to find of the model 53s.The rifle is in excellent all original condition.It retains 90% of the original blue and wood finish.The bore is mint with sharp rifling.The wood has a few light handling marks but no cracks or gouges.The stock retains the original steel buttplate.Only around 1000 model 53s were built in 44-40 takedown.This is a very collectible rifle and a fun one to shoot.C&R eligible.
