Description:
This is a nice Mauser Gew. 98 in 8mm Mauser. Overall the rifle is in surplus good condition. The metal on this gun is in pretty good shape with no major rust, dings or scratches. The barrel and receiver retain a majority of the blue. The wood is in very good condition with various light dings and marks you would expect on surplus rifles. The barrel has nice defined rifling but there is some rust in the bore. The receiver is marked Waffenfabrik Mauser A-G Oberndorf 1916. The bolt has no serial number and the magazine floor plate and but plate numbers do not match the receiver.
