Description:
Standard configuration Model 99EG in 300 Savage caliber. This is one of only 1850 model 99 rifles made in 1943 (from the David Royal book on 99 Savages). Appears in very nice original shape, 24" barrel with super nice bore and chamber. Metal and wood finish thinning in exposed areas. Great case colors on the lever. Has a chip out of the fore-end schnable, otherwise wood appears very intact, including behind the tang, where these tend to have issues. Has slight indentation at front of stock, where a receiver sight was once mounted, but no cracks. Matching #s on wood, buttplate. Brass magazine spool/round counter. Ser#4227xx. CA OK, C&R OK.
