Description:
This is a hard to find Saginaw S.G. Irwin-Pederson M1 Carbine WWII rifle. The rifle is in a block of serial numbers assigned to Irwin-Pederson and completed by Saginaw S.G. The government did not accept the work from I.P and turned the pars over to Saginaw to be finished. The receiver is marked Saginaw S.G. with a serial number of 3233XXX. Without breaking down the firearm IP can be seen on the mag release and nowhere else. The Underwood barrel is dated 8-44 and has the correct flaming bomb. The stock looks correct and has a P proof mark, AAL inspector mark and cross cannons. The stock is in very good condition with a few minor dings. The parkerized metal has a small amount of old surface rust by the muzzle but is in otherwise great condition. The bore is also in great condition. This nice carbine comes with a correct looking sling and a G.B MFG. CO. INC ammo pouch dated 1944.
